Entrepreneurship in the New Middle East
Professor Paul Gompers (Harvard Business School)
What the region can learn from Israel's transformative 40-year journey from socialism and inflationto startup and innovation hub
The Hebrew University Business School in collaboration with the Asper Center is proud to have hosted a lecture and panel discussion on developing forward-looking economic agendas for the Israel and the MENA region.
Professor Paul Gompers is the Eugene Holman Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School and one of the world’s leading scholars of venture capital, private equity, and entrepreneurial finance. Professor Gompers will present how the MENA region can learn from “what Israel did right” drawing on insights from his 18-month sabbatical spent across over 30 countries with roughly 400 meetings to understand how entrepreneurial ecosystems emerge outside the Silicon Valley.
